November 22nd, 2021Have your say about our water future
You’re invited to one of three Central Highlands Water online Urban Water Strategy community sessions to help shape the future of water in our region.
Central Highlands Water Managing Director, Paul O’Donohue said, “The online sessions provide a great opportunity to have a two-way conversation and to explore people’s preferences for managing future water supply.”
The strategy explores water security and influences for the next 50 years, including population growth and climate change and is planned to be released in 2022.
An integral part of our planning is talking to our community about how they currently use water and their understanding of the local water cycle, as well as what is important to our customers from a water and wastewater perspective.
“Community input is highly valued and a fundamental part of future planning for our water security and we encourage people to have their say during our upcoming online community sessions,” said Mr O’Donohue.
Community sessions will be held online on the following dates and times:
Maryborough and surrounds: Monday 22 November 2021 – 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Daylesford and surrounds: Tuesday 23 November 2021 – 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
