Local Lines
There’s stuck and there’s stuck
Some stucks you land in
Traffic jams mountain crevasses
Other stucks are self-defined
Stuck at work at home
You can walk open-eyed into stucks
Sudokus crosswords and other forms
of voluntary empuzzlement
Ritual rutstuck habits
can creep up on you
Then there’s the stuck of soap
in the soap dish
which seems a fair old cling
until its suck surrenders
and it comes away cleanly
insisting to your fingers
with the faintest of thwups
that it was never all that
attached
