December 6th, 2022Woodend, Lancefield outdoor pools reopen for summer

Summer is here and the Macedon Ranges Council has announced the reopening of the two outdoor pools in Woodend and Lancefield from Saturday December 3.

The outdoor pools will open following Council’s temperature-based guidelines, which include:

December, school holidays and weekends

• 26 degrees and above: 12 noon – 6 pm (possible extension of hours past 6 pm dependent upon patronage and weather conditions)
• 25 degrees and under: closed

Monday–Friday (during school term 1, 2023)

• 26 degrees and above: 3.30 pm – 6 pm (possible extension of hours past 6 pm dependent upon patronage and weather conditions)
• 25 degrees and under: closed

Opening hours are determined according to Bureau of Meteorology temperature forecasts for Kyneton, at 4.30 pm the day prior and published on Council’s website.

Council’s outdoor pools and aquatic centres will be closed on Christmas Day, 25 December.

Outdoor pools are open and free of charge on 26 January 2023 (Australia Day), provided the minimum opening temperatures are forecast.
