The State Highway patrol have been assigned to patrol for speeding, fatigue, and alcohol-affected motorists for December in the Clunes, Creswick and Daylesford areas.

“So, plan ahead for the upcoming festive season in relation to having a designated driver,” said Clunes Police Station’s leading Senior Constable Simon Barker, giving a recent public report on policing in the locality.

“Just recently, wood was stolen from two semi-rural properties and witnesses observed
a White Mitsubishi dual-cab displaying false registration plates,” he said.

“Just a reminder to report suspicious activity or vehicles via 000 or for
non-urgent crime reporting, 13 14 44. Or call the Clunes police station on 5345 3211.

“Before my (recent) leave, a male was charged and bailed for an assault at a local establishment,
and a local was detected for drink driving.

“In the meantime, stay safe and look after one another.”
