One of the state’s most misspelt acronyms has changed.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is now the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA)… as of January 1, 2023.

On January 1, 2023, planning functions were transferred to the Department of Transport and
Planning and DELWP was renamed DEECA – “supporting thriving, productive and
sustainable communities, environments and industries”.

The tree-change research is over, and Google’s been watching it happen
