They Hepburn Shire Council says it is releasing a survey and background report, and would like community feedback on planning issues impacting local farming areas.
They Hepburn Shire Council says it is releasing a survey and background report, and would like community feedback on planning issues impacting local farming areas.
The strategy will consider future agricultural needs and requirements in the shire and seek to ensure agricultural land is adequately protected.
It will include a review of relevant provisions relating to farming in the Hepburn Planning Scheme, such as permissible uses and developments and subdivision.
The strategy will also seek to provide a better understanding of the risks and challenges posed in the Shire’s small rural settlements to guide development consistent with the municipality’s inherent rural character and other attributes.
The survey will be available on the Participate Hepburn website.
