Meanwhile at John Curtin Aged Care in Creswick, mandatory mask wearing ended on April 26 but rapid antigen tests are continuing for visitors, workers and medical staff.
At Springs Medical in Trentham, Daylesford and Kyneton, patients and staff have the choice to wear a mask. And for Central Highlands Rural Health, N95 masks are no longer required unless staff
are working in high-risk areas.
A surgical mask is the minimal PPE required to be worn by staff working in all clinical areas in acute, residential aged care services and community nursing. RAT requirements prior to entry continue in aged care.
