Lyster Opera presents Don Giovanni – The Charmer, the Scoundrel and Mozart’s Masterpiece at the Creswick Town Hall on Saturday, October 24 

In its 10th year of bringing opera to regional Victoria, Lyster Opera has gained a well-deserved reputation of delighting communities of small country towns with exceptional productions of well-known and, perhaps, less well-known operas.

Jamie Moffat, founder and director of Lyster Opera, has been thrilled with the response from these communities, especially Creswick, where the company has been welcomed with warm and enthusiastic appreciation.

Jamie Moffat has assembled a prodigious cast of singers and musicians with the following singers performing major roles in the Creswick production: Nicholas Beecher – Don Giovanni; Barnard Leong Lockman – Leporello; Phoebe Paine – Donna Anna; Nicholas Sheppard – Don Ottavio; and Tessa McKenna – Donna Elvira. Once again, the singers will be accompanied by the Lyster Opera Orchestra, under the leadership of Pamela Christie.

Seating is limited and we have had people turning up on the day without a ticket hoping to be able to buy one only to be bitterly disappointed when the House Full notice is up.”
