October 19th, 2026To build or not…that was the question

So, the build is coming along nicely now.

We still have an April move-in date but it’s well at lock up and this week, as you read this edition, the kitchen will be going in. The one on the right was in the display building we looked at and I thought it was really nice. Clean lines.

When we moved into the Glenlyon School, first up was redoing the kitchen. Lots of wenge, popular at the time. We keep thinking it is still really modern but, of course, that was 20 something years ago.

We had a few mates help us, and luckily one was a cabinet maker, specialising in kitchens. He did so much and then, with just the handles left, decided it was time to leave. We pretty much blocked the exit – straight handles are everything.

Sherridon Homes has a website where we get updates on how progress is going on the new build at Glenlyon. It’s good to be kept in the loop but they could use someone who does words a bit better. Not really exciting reading.
