If you loved The Block’s Daylesford show you just missed the chance to rent Robby and Mat’s House 5. The fully furnished four-bedroom house at 1 Cedar Lane has been leased, with an asking rent of $2500 a week. That’s $140,000 per year.

The four-bedroom and three-bathroom home, with a pool, was bought by billionaire, and eccentric bidder, Danny Wallis for $3,099,999.10.
The new tenant will have to be prepared to pop in and out of their car to move bollards from the private Cedar Lane – which have been put in place with a sign stating “Residents Cars Only”.
That is to perhaps stop the Blockheads and others who want to take a quick drive past for a stickybeak at the properties.
House 3, which wonThe Block 2025, is now being marketed as “a private wellness estate in Daylesford”
The owner, a buyer named Alex – placed the winning bid of $3.41 million by phone through Buxton agent Peter Burley.
Meanwhile, two of the homes, houses 1 and 2, still have ‘for sale’ boards in front of them. Contestants Ben and Emma, and Han and Can, failed to win any prize money after their homes were were passed in at auction last October on vendor bids of $3.1 million.
But there’s no stopping The Block. It’s back for a new season in 2026, this time in Mt Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula. The three judges, Marty Fox, Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze are already busy filming at 109 Old Mornington Road.
On its Facebook page, Mornington Peninsula Shire Council said the show was “expected to bring significant economic benefits to our region and will showcase Mt Eliza’s premium beaches and real estate”.
Filming is planned to take place over a 12-week period with construction happening until October.
