Ballarat Turf Club hosts its first weekday race meeting for the year tomorrow, Friday March 7.

Gates open at 11.30am with the VOBIS Silver Two-Years-Old Maiden Plate over 1200 metres first up on the eight-race program.

The program includes five maiden races with race five the first of the three handicap races on the program.

Midweek racing at the Kennedy’s Road racecourse also returns later this month from Tuesday March 25, with the Ballarat Turf Club also preparing to host its first Charity Golf Day on Friday March 28 at the Midlands Golf Club.

The inaugural fund-raising event is being held in support of the Ballarat-based SJD Foundation which exists to benefit children and families in need.
