Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash that happened in Woodend North on Monday morning (March 24).

It was understood a car left the roadway and crashed into a pole near the intersection of Old Lancefield Road and Clancys Lane about 6.30am.

The driver, a 19-year-old Woodend man, died at the scene.

It is understood a driver was travelling along Ballarat-Daylesford Road when they left the roadway and crashed into a tree about 2am last Wednesday morning.

The impact forced the car to roll several times before it caught on fire.

Sadly, the female driver died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash were unclear and police investigations remained ongoing.

Emergency services were called to reports a car had struck a tree on Wandong Road around 3.30pm on Sunday August 11.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a car crash that claimed the life of a man at Drummond, about 20 kilometres north east of Daylesford yesterday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a car crash that claimed the life of a man at Drummond, about 20 kilometres north east of Daylesford yesterday.

The 60-year-old man died at the scene and was the only person in his vehicle when it left the road and crashed at about 12.30pm yesterday, Tuesday August 13.

Emergency services had been called to reports of a car running off the Daylesford-Malmsbury Road at Drummond, police said.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident but suspected the crash may have been caused by a medical episode.
