February 3rd, 2025Fatal collision in Ballarat suburb

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a fatal collision that happened in the Ballarat suburb of Wendouree last week.
Emergency services were called to Creswick Road where a ute and motorbike collided about 6am last Thursday, January 30.
The rider, a 50-year-old Brown Hill man, died at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 38-year-old Miners Rest man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.

February 2nd, 2025Police seek witnesses following fatal collision at Gisborne

Police are appealing for information as they investigate a fatal collision that occurred in Gisborne earlier in the week.
Emergency services were called to Bacchus Marsh where a car and motorbike collided about 6.20am on Tuesday (January 28)
A male mtorbiker rider died at the scene. The male driver of the car had stopped at the scene.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations were ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.

September 11th, 2024Police call for witnesses to Ballarat fatal collision

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision that happened in Ballarat’s north over the weekend.
It is understood a motorcycle collided with a trailer, being towed by a car, turning into a driveway on Gillies Road, Sulky about 3.45pm.
The motorcycle rider died at the scene and officers were speaking to the driver of the car as at the time of their most recent public report on the incident.
The investigation remained ongoing.
Investigators were told there was a line of traffic on the street at the time of the incident and want to speak to those witnesses.

June 6th, 2024Monegeetta fatality prompts police appeal

Police have appealed for information while investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Monegeetta last Wednesday night.
It is understood a car crashed into a tree on Kilmore Road, near Melbourne Lancefield Road, about 9.55pm.
Emergency services worked on the female driver, who is yet to be formally identified, but she died at the scene.

April 24th, 2024Woman dies following motorbike collision in Ballan

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a woman died following a collision in Ballan earlier this month.
It is understood four motorbikes collided on the Western Freeway about 1.50pm on 7 April.
Officers were told all four riders, who were riding in a convoy of seven motorbikes, came off their respective motorbikes.
Three riders were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The fourth rider, a 64-year-old Cranbourne woman, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She succumbed to her injuries and died in hospital on Friday (April 19).
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
