A Ballarat fast food store sited on the Creswick Road looks likely to remain closed for the foreseeable future after its owner recently went into voluntary administration.

The Carl’s Jr Ballarat store is among 20 such stores nation-wide which in recent days has been reported as closing immediately.

Late last month KPMG Australia had been appointed the voluntary administrators of CJ’s QSR Group, which operated 24 Carl’s Jr restaurants across the country.

Of those 24, only four stores now remain open: Dandenong, Melton, Bringelly, and Tarneit.

However, 25 stores independently owned and run by third-party sub-licensees, will likely continue to operate unaffected, KPMG said earlier.
