Local police were processing offenders in relation to the incidents with all those responsible expected to be charged on summons for lighting a fire on a total fire ban day.

All those travelling to high-risk fire locations need to be conscious of the warnings, conditions and dangers involved with open fires, Victoria Police warned.

It is imperative that people check and abide by all bans imposed.

Police are urging people to consider the consequences of their actions and help prevent any further potential bushfires this summer.

Members of the public are also encouraged to report any suspicious fire activity or any open fires on declared total fire ban days.
