Events

Each year Council provides funding and support to community groups to run events on Australia Day with this years Australia Day being Wednesday 26 January 2022. Many of the community groups have made the difficult decision to cancel their Australia Day events due to the continuing challenges of COVID-19.

The following events will NOT be proceeding on Wednesday 26 January 2022:

Clunes

5.30pm – Collins Place, Fraser Street

Flag lowering ceremony with Community BBQ and live entertainment

Creswick

8.00am – Park Lake Reserve

Breakfast and Flag Raising Ceremony

Glenlyon

5.30pm – Recreation Reserve

Flag lowering ceremony with Community BBQ and live entertainment

The following events will still proceed as planned with COVID safety measures in place:

Clunes

5.45am – Mt Beckworth Reserve Walk (meet at the Dam)

*There will be no breakfast or formal ceremony

Trentham

10.00am – Town Square

Flag Raising Ceremony with Community BBQ and entertainment
