Trentham Haiku
Chaplins cafe
butterflies flower
on the dogwood
an earth-moving truck
drives between the cafe
and the pub
butterfly morning
three poets sipping
coffee
annual holidays
an old man carries an empty bag
towards the shops
strolling
around a duck pond…
a siren in birdsong
deep in thought
a duck glides through
murky waters
wisps of clouds
in the treetops
white cockatoos
picnic tables
mother and daughter
out for a walk
what kind
of duck is that mum?
a magpie
