is proud to present CRESWICK GARDEN LOVERS’

WEEKEND Now in its 11th year and organised by the Creswick Garden Club, the Creswick Garden Lovers’ Weekend on November 7 and 8 is eagerly anticipated by gardeners from around the region.

Many are returning visitors who love the gardens, Creswick and the people who generously open their gardens and share their gardening knowledge.

This year there are eight open gardens, one entirely new, five which were opened several years ago and two which opened last year.

The range of plantings in these gardens, the creativity, and the joy of seeing the hard work undertaken by dedicated gardeners – from novice gardeners to stalwarts – is an inspiration for patrons of the Garden Lovers’ Weekend.

As well as the eight open gardens there is the Creswick Garden Club’s annual flower show, a fabulous monster plant sale and a garden-themed market beside the Creswick Community Hall (Wayapurra Hall in Victoria Street).

Profits from the weekend are used for ongoing sustainability of this bloomin’ marvellous event and for other related community projects.

More than 60 volunteers are involved in the weekend, and prior to the Garden Lovers’ Weekend, volunteers visit each of the gardens to ensure that all volunteers have a good overview.

Tickets are available online until Friday, November 6 by visiting the Creswick Garden Lovers’ site. Over the weekend ticket sales can be bought at Creswick Neighbourhood House, 19 Victoria Street, Creswick on Saturday or Sunday from 9am. Entry is $8 each garden, children under 16 are free.
