Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance from the public following an armed robbery in Rutherglen in recent days.

Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for assistance from the public following an armed robbery in Rutherglen in recent days.

Officers have been told a man armed with an iron bar entered a service station on Main Street about 8.50pm on Saturday 18 March.

It is alleged he threatened the attendant and forced him to hand over cash and cigarettes before leaving the store.

The offender was last seen headed north towards Douglas Street.

Investigators have released images (above) and CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
