Local creatives living in the Hepburn Shire area are being encouraged to enter Violence Prevention Australia’s #stopitbeforeitstarts Art Comp now.

Competition co-ordinators say that amazing submissions are still being received but there’s not much longer to submit entreis as the competition closes on February 14.

The competition aims to promote intervening acts of kindness that reduce or prevent violence in homes and communities of any kind

Offering over $2,500 in total prize money, the competition is a chance for creatives across many different genre to get their art seen while helping others learn how to prevent violence before it starts.

Entrants must be over 18 to enter and entries will be exhibited on Instagram #stopitbeforeitstarts @violencepreventionaustralia

Co-ordinators say the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) has provided sponsorship to help make the art competition possible.
