Large boulders have recently been installed in Daylesford’s Bourke Square.

The move by Hepburn Shire Council, in collaboration with the Royal Daylesford Hotel, comes after five people died following an incident at the site involving a car on November 5 last year.

The case is now before the courts. A council spokesperson said the interim measure would be in place while the council cooperated with authorities and awaited the conclusion of investigations that will determine whether other works are required at the Bourke Square site.
