Central Highlands Rural Health is calling for more volunteers to help deliver Meals on Wheels and allow older residents to live in their homes for longer.
Central Highlands Rural Health is calling for more volunteers to help deliver Meals on Wheels and allow older residents to live in their homes for longer.
CHRH’s Daylesford Health campus hopes to find more community-minded people like Eddie (pictured) who has been delivering Meals on Wheels for nearly a decade.
Eddie delivers up to 10 Meals on Wheels daily, three times a week.
“I love doing it,” Eddie said.
“It’s about giving back to my community.
Volunteers need a driver’s licence, covid-19 and flu vaccination certificates.
CHRH will provide orientation, a vehicle and insurance and pay for a police check.
