October 18th, 2026Clunes Spring Show
The annual Spring Show in Clunes is always a hit for the family.

Held on the third Saturday in November, November 21 this year will represent the 163rd running of this iconic event.
Every year the Dog High Jump competition is a crowd pleaser. This year the Society is proud to be hosting the state final for this amazing event. The best dogs in the state will compete across all size categories.
There is always something for everyone at the Clunes Show and this year is no exception. There’s great fun for the kids including a header simulator, a special kids’ play space, free woodworking, wild animals, puppets, pony rides and face painting. Look out for the roving entertainment featuring giant bubbles, hula hoops and spinning plates.
The Animals of Magical Mountain are the lunchtime act on the main stage and there will be other live entertainment across the day.
All the old show favourites will be there, showcasing everything that is good about the country. Check out the shearing displays, sheep, cattle, lambs and poultry, horses on the arena and working dog demonstrations.
The Homecrafts pavilion will be bursting with exhibits – last year there were over 1600 entries. These are on display as soon as the judging concludes at around 11.30.
Remember, you don’t have to be a spectator. Bring along your ute and take part in the Bute Ute competition.
Have a shot at the gumboot throw, tug of war, ladies’ woodsplit or the keg throw. And then a quiet beverage and a yarn with the locals at the bar to end the day, with live music on the truck stage.
The Clunes Show is an awesome day for the whole family and great value at $20 for adults with kids under 16 free. Link: www.clunesshow.com.au | Image: Pexels (just for fun)
