The Macedon Ranges Council is inviting all young people aged between 12 and 25 to supercharge their summer holidays by participating in its 2023 Youth Holiday Program.

Hosted by Macedon Ranges Youth Services, these events are an opportunity to get involved in
some school holiday fun, fill in those long summer days and meet other young people in the
community.
As part of the program, YMCA will be hosting a skate/scooter/BMX competition at Gisborne Skate
Park on Saturday 21 January.
Participants can compete to be crowned the winner of the Western Regional Series in the Victoria
League, which is part of the YMCA’s national pathway program. The event will provide an opportunity
for enthusiasts to have a go, improve their skills, interact with the pros and win some fun prizes.
Other events throughout January across townships within the Macedon Ranges include:
* pool parties at Lancefield and Woodend, featuring a DJ and BBQ
* free pop-up BBQs at Romsey and Kyneton skate parks
* a live music event at Riddells Creek Lions Park, featuring local artists.
The council’s Director Community, Maria Weiss, said the Youth Holiday Program provided an opportunity
for young people in the community to stay active and socially connected during the holiday period.
“It’s a great opportunity for our young people to get together and have some fun in a safe and
supervised environment within their own community,” she said.
“There are a range activities on offer, so there is sure to be something for everyone.”
Some entry fees and costs may apply.
