Luxury Italian brand Dolce & Gabbana has released Fefe, a new fragrance for pooches reportedly named after the co-founder’s own pet.

The $166.84 (£85) fragrance is described as an “olfactory masterpiece” featuring must, ylang ylang, and “creamy undertones” of sandalwood.

The bottle features a 24-carat gold-plated paw print and has elsewhere been reported to have been inspired by “the unwavering love for Domenico Dolce’s loyal companion, Fefe”.

The firm’s marketing department says it offers “a touch of opulence, making every walk a fragrant and fashionable affair”.

Fefe, the perfume for dogs, is alcohol free and D&G says it has been safety-tested and approved by vets.
