Goldfields Libraries and Eaglehawk Festivals Inc are calling for entries from writers all over Australia for the annual Mulga Bill Writing Award.

Goldfields Libraries and Eaglehawk Festivals Inc are calling for entries from writers all over Australia for the annual Mulga Bill Writing Award. 

Writers are encouraged to take inspiration from the theme ‘mystical waters’, and submit a poem (max. 25 lines) or short story (max. 2000 words).

Writers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to apply and the entry fee is $5.

Entries close on Friday 23 February, 2024 with winners to be announced at at the Eaglehawk Dahlia and Arts Festival in March 2024.

The Short story category carries a $500 first prize and a $150 prize for secon place. while the poetry category offers a $200 first prize and a $50 second prize.
