Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey, two of Australia’s most revered artists of the past 30 years, have joined forces to create the groundbreaking project Fanning Dempsey National Park and they’re touring it to Ballarat this month.

Their debut album, ‘The Deluge’, has taken the music world by storm, culminating in a sold-out headline tour and a spectacular performance on ABC NYE 2024, broadcast to millions worldwide.

They paly the Civic Hall, Ballarat on May 10.

“We agreed straight away there’s no point doing something together if it’s going to be what people think it’s going to be,” says Paul. “It’s not the two of us with acoustic guitars singing campfire songs”.

Their bold new sound is showcased in the lead single ‘Disconnect’, which blends ethereal synths, robotic pulses, thwacking drums, and stabbing sax.

The second single and title track, ‘The Deluge’, emerged from Fanning’s experiment with monochromatic rhythm and vocal melody, enhanced by Dempsey’s wild guitar and synth treatments.
