April 17th, 2026Free Women’s Health Care In Bendigo
Women are getting the health care they need – saving them time and money no matter where they live.
The Premier and Member for Bendigo West Maree Edwards has visited the Bendigo Women’s Health Clinic to announce an expansion to its services.
Since opening late last year, the clinic has already supported local women with specialist care for free, closer to home.
Services include gynaecology, colposcopy, cervical screenings, contraception, menopause and abortion care.
From this week, women will be able to access a dedicated women’s health GP, a new menopause clinic and a specialised pelvic floor clinic.
Bendigo is one of 20 women’s health clinics backed by a landmark $153 million women’s health package.
The package is already transforming care through a regional mobile clinic, dedicated Aboriginal-led services, a virtual women’s health clinic, sexual and reproductive hubs and the 20 clinics.
This includes 12 in regional communities where women have historically faced barriers to accessing specialist care.
