New funding has been given to the Australian Local Government Women’s Association Victoria to deliver programs that will help women councillors grow the professional skills and networks they need to thrive in the local government sector.

New funding has been given to the Australian Local Government Women’s Association Victoria to deliver programs that will help women councillors grow the professional skills and networks they need to thrive in the local government sector.
As well, the establishment of the Mary Rogers Achievement Award will celebrate women councillors working to advance gender equality in the local government sector. The award is named after Victoria’s first woman councillor, Mary Rogers, who was elected to Richmond Council in 1920.
