Gisborne Library and the Gisborne Gazette are calling for entries into the Gisborne Writing and Illustration Challenge.
It’s a chance for locals to flex their creative talents, take inspiration from the theme ‘summer’ and possibly end up taking home one of five appealing prizes.
- Poetry (adult)
Max. 40 lines
Prize: $100 - Short story (adult)
Max. 1000 words
Prize: $100 - Short story/creative writing (13-17 years)
Max. 1000 words
Prize: $80 - Cartoon or manga strip (9-12 years)
Max. 5 frames
Prize: $50 book voucher - Book cover design (5-8 years)
