November 14th, 2024Grant applications open to enhance local waterways

APPLICATIONS are open for the second round of the State Government’s Green Links grants program which aims to enhance local waterways.

Eligibility has been extended for this round to include projects being run by schools, to provide young people with an opportunity to protect rivers and creeks.

Community groups, water and land managers, Traditional Owners, local councils and schools can apply for funding between $20,000 and $350,000.

“As our communities grow, it’s so important to respect and protect our precious waterways and the environments that we know and love,” said Minister for Water Harriet Shing.

“The green links grants are helping more people to get involved, and to make a positive and lasting difference.”
