The state government is empowering grassroots multicultural and Aboriginal organisations to support children and young people to connect with their community, family, friends and culture.

The Youth Engagement Grants provide up to $50,000 over two years for projects that use cultural connection, sport, arts, music or other creative activities to engage children and young people from multicultural and Aboriginal communities.

Labor Member for Western Victoria, Jaala Pulford, encouraged eligible organisations to apply for a grant by submitting a project proposal before applications close on 17 August 2022.

The government recognises that each community has the expertise, knowledge and ideas to design solutions that are right for them.

The Youth Engagement Grants provide an opportunity for small, community organisations to make a difference for children and young people in their area.
