Winner of Moorabool Shire’s Community Event of the Year, the Blackwood Woodchop & Easter Carnival offers an action-packed day out.
In its 125th year, it features one of the oldest woodchopping competitions in Victoria. The carnival begins with a street parade, followed by the woodchop and music program, plus loads of other fun stuff – gold panning, gumboot throwing, pet show, treasure hunt, kids’ novelty games and races, face painting, tug-o-war, market stalls, delicious eats and licensed bars. Head to the Blackwood Recreation Reserve on Saturday, April 4 from 10am to 6pm.
