Less than 1000 birds are thought to remain in the Northern Plains grasslands in Victoria, between Bendigo, Echuca, and Swan Hill.

Anyone interested is being invited to help protect Victoria’s critically endangered Plains-wanderer by recognising its elusive call.

This work will help locate Plains-wanderers in the wild, letting Agriculture Victoria, science and conservation bodies know where they are in order to protect and enhance their threatened native grassland habitat.
