The Hepburn Recreation Reserve Neighbourhood Safer Places - Bushfire Places of Last Resort (NSP-BPLR) has been decommissioned, the Hepburn Shire Council has confirmed.

The Hepburn Recreation Reserve Neighbourhood Safer Places – Bushfire Places of Last Resort (NSP-BPLR) has been decommissioned, the Hepburn Shire Council has confirmed.

The decommissioning means the recreation reserve is no longer a place of last resort and community will need to update their Bushfire Plans, the council has confirmed in a media statement published on its website in recent days. 

The decommissioning means the council’s remaining Neighbourhood Safer Places are:

  • Glenlyon – Eldon Street (between Molesworth Street and house number 19)
  • Daylesford Central Business District (pavement areas) – Bounded by Bridport, Albert & Camp Streets and Central Springs Road Daylesford
  • Trentham – Camp Street (between Cosmo Road and Bowen Street) Trentham
  • Creswick – Visitor Information Centre Car Park (behind the building), Cnr Victoria Street and Albert Street Creswick
  • Clunes – Central Business District – Fraser Street (between Templeton and Service Streets) Clunes.
