Ballarat Base Hospital has entered the final phase in its $655 million redevelopment.
Stage 3 is delivering a new multi-level hospital tower, which includes: a new emergency department; 100 more inpatient and short-stay beds; a new state-of-the-art theatre suite; a new helipad; a new and expanded perinatal hub (pregnancy to post-birth services); and a new and expanded critical care floor. Once complete, the hospital will be able to treat at least 14,500 more inpatients and 18,000 more emergency patients every year.
