May 22nd, 2023Irrigation monitoring and maintenance course on offer

Hepburn Shire farmers are being welcomed to get along to an irrigation course hosted by Agriculture Victoria at Irymple, near Mildura, next month.

Topics to be covered will include:

soil water principles

irrigation of Mallee soils

readily available water holding capacity

irrigation system performance

leaching efficiency and nutrient management

irrigation scheduling

evapotranspiration graphs

water trading issues.

Workshop sessions are scheduled for Tuesday June 6 and Tuesday June 20 from 9 am to 5 pm and will take place at 308-390 Koorlong Ave Irymple.
