Cafs is calling for more foster carers to open their doors and hearts.

To mark Foster Care Week in September, Child and Family Services is encouraging people across Ballarat and the Central Highlands region to consider whether they could provide the safety, stability and sense of belonging that a child needs. Cafs Home Based Care manager Laura Humphris said when a child could no longer live safely at home, a foster carer could be the person who helps them feel safe again. “Foster carers provide more than a place to stay. They offer belonging, encouragement and the opportunity for children and young people to build positive memories and hopeful futures.”
