Open Gardens Victoria will see North Haven, 13 Loren Close, Ballarat North open to the public on Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1.
North Haven is a secluded, design-led family garden created by landscape designer Paddy Milne (The Scape Artist) over nearly a decade. Visitors enter through stone pillars and a bespoke Oregon timber gate into a calm, private sanctuary. The north-facing courtyard offers lush planting, a built-in daybed and a wood-fired pizza oven, while the raised semi-circular lawn at the rear provides space for play and relaxation. With a developing canopy and layered planting throughout, North Haven is a garden where strong structure meets soft, immersive planting – a true suburban retreat. There will be a coffee cart and some of the proceeds from this opening will be donated to WRISC – Family Violence Support. Open 10am-4.30pm.
