Local Lines

untrue grit

when you’re outside
and feel a bit of grit
between your toes
you sit

untie your bootlace
peel off your sock
turn it inside out
take stock

find nothing much
it doesn’t seem fair
it certainly felt
like something was there

In lockdown
for something else to do
try inserting
some grit in your shoe
