Half acre-
Half acre-
The gully behind the property is
a long throat. Jewelled by
eucalypts and other
bush trees. A muzzy razorback-
the sky above fish-
coloured.
In a half-breath it may rain. Or
go completely to dust,
birds taking to the sky like ramrods.
Beauty and danger at the backstep,
the stormy air, thick with flies
