Mayor Kendall said following a year of listening and action in her role as a councillor and as deputy mayor, she was pleased to be given the opportunity to lead as mayor for the coming year. “I look forward to continuing to work closely with my fellow councillors, council staff and the community. I’m excited to genuinely engage across platforms and across generations to bring everyone into the local government process. I aim to build trust, transparency and tangible progress on priorities for the benefi t of all ratepayers and
residents of our amazing shire.” Deputy Mayor Borthwick thanked councillors for their support and confi dence in her ability to take on the role. “In my first year as a councillor, I’ve eagerly learnt the ins and outs of the role, listened intently to residents, and stood for what I believed in. As deputy mayor, I’ll continue to build on these initial stepping stones and advocate strongly on behalf of
my community to action meaningful change.”
