Homicide Squad detectives have charged a 26-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of another man in Geelong last week.

The 20-year-old was allegedly stabbed during an altercation on Little Malop Street about 5.30am on Sunday October 27.

The Corio man was taken to hospital where he later died.

A Colac man attended a police station last week where he was taken in custody and interviewed.

He was charged with one count of murder and was required appear in Geelong Magistrates’ Court last Monday afternoon.

Two other Colac men, aged 23 and 26, had self-presented at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries last Sunday morning.

They were to be interviewed at a later date.
