April 11th, 2026Mayor Cr Tony Clark to join the 2026 Local Government Mayoral Advisory Panel.

Minister for Local Government Nick Staikos has appointed Hepburn Shire Council Mayor Cr Tony Clark along with 10 other mayors from across Victoria to the 2026 Local Government Mayoral Advisory Panel.
Cr Clark said he was looking forward to robust, honest conversations with the Minister about the opportunities and challenges that face Hepburn Shire, rural communities and the local government sector. “Topics that I will be focusing on will be the financial sustainability of rural councils, legislation to safeguard the physical and online safety of councillors and council officers, and how local government can have a seat at the table with government on major policy development.”
