August 18th, 2026More Homes For Healthcare Workers In Kerang
Three units for staff at Kerang District Health have been completed.
This was made possible through the state government’s Regional Worker Accommodation Fund.
The two and three-bedroom units will help attract and retain doctors and clinical staff.
Workers across medical and clinical services in Kerang will begin using the accommodation later this month, supporting Kerang District Health, Kerang Medical Clinic and other essential local services.
It’s one of several projects being delivered by the fund to support the regional healthcare services that are essential to the prosperity of local communities.
The units were designed by local business McKnight & Bray Building Design and built using local trades and suppliers.
The project builder, Cavalier Homes, engaged 21 tradespeople and 10 businesses during the project’s construction.
Accommodation has been completed at Kyabram District Health Service, while other projects underway include housing for staff at Robinvale District Health Services, Benalla Health and Goulburn Valley Health.
Bairnsdale Regional Health Service, Colac Area Health and Omeo District Health also have regional worker accommodation projects.
