February 27th, 2026New beds at Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre

The Malmsbury Youth Justice Centre will have another 45 beds when it reopens, to keep the community safe, according to the state government.
More than 100 new youth justice workers will be recruited to staff the expanded facility, with upgrades to infrastructure and security at Malmsbury underway.
