The Hepburn Shire Youth Advisory Group is hosting a Pool Party Extravaganza at the Daylesford public outdoor pool next Monday December 16.

It’s a party for all young people in the Hepburn Shire and will run from 3.30pm till 6.30pm with free food, drinks, music, circus, games and swims on offer.

Free food will be provided by Cooked and circus workshops by Asking for Trouble! Music performances by Sasha, Stevie & Arlo.

 The local Youth Advisory Group from the Young Mayors Program has been busy with planning behind the scenes. 

For the last six months, five younger residents of the Hepburn Shire have been meeting fortnightly to discuss youth engagement, issues for young people in the shire and plan events just like this.

The Young Mayors Program is a pilot program by the Foundation for Young Australians with an aim being to share a bit of power and decision-making with locals of a  younger age-group.
