Police are investigating after a traffic camera vehicle was damaged in Coburg earlier this month.

Police are investigating after a traffic camera vehicle was damaged in Coburg earlier this month.

The vehicle was operating on Nicholson Street when it was attacked by a group of men on January 5 about 12.30am.

Five offenders jumped on the car and threw rocks and a rubbish bin at the windows, causing several windows to break, before fleeing on foot.

The 36-year-old male driver (of the traffic camera vehicle), from St Albans, managed to drive away from the scene and seek help. He was treated for minor cuts.

Investigators have released images (above) and CCTV of men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
