It’s believed the vehicle was traveling on Calder Alternative Highway just before 4pm when it left the road and struck a tree.

Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle crash that happened in Marong on Sunday afternoon.

It’s believed the vehicle was traveling on Calder Alternative Highway just before 4pm when it left the road and struck a tree.

The sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, with CCTV/dashcam footage or information was urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
