Local artists, poets, and creatives, Words in Winter is returning for 2025, and the event’s organisers say they want your work … now.

The beloved community festival celebrates the power of words and art, and organisers are inviting the region’s talented makers to contribute.

“Whether you’re a seasoned writer, an emerging poet, a visual storyteller, or a performer, we welcome submissions that reflect our region’s unique voice,” the festival’s Devon Taylor says.

“Share your poetry, short stories, spoken word pieces, or even hybrid art-literary works for a chance to be featured in exhibitions, readings, and workshops across the festival.

“Words in Winter is all about showcasing our community’s creativity—so let’s make the 2025 festival our most inspiring yet.”
